2. Obtain a tenancy agreement
Once you have found a property that you are interested in, ask the agent for a tenancy agreement. This is an agreement between the landlord and the tenant which outlines terms and conditions that both parties must follow.
3. Complete condition report
Once you have completed the tenancy agreement, organise to complete a condition report. You do this by going to look at the property and taking note of any defects or any questions you have. Make sure when doing this you take many photos, even of every minor defect!
4. Pay deposit
This deposit, also called a reservation fee, reserves or secures the property for you while your application is being considered.
5. Sign the lease
Read through the lease very carefully to make sure you agree with everything. Once you have done this, go ahead and sign it!
